Rockaway Capital, the investment group founded by Jakub Havrlant, is looking for a motivated student to help in development of an internal dealflow engine. We are always on the lookout for new, exciting companies to invest in. With the wealth of data on the internet, and the increasing capabilities of AI and ML models to absorb and analyze this data, we see an opportunity to develop in-house technological solutions that will spot market trends and guide our investment decision making.
Your Mission
• Codesign Rockaway’s internal dealflow engine alongside the investment team and build the foundation for further technological transformation (scalable ML models, predictive algorithms, decision automation tools)
• Take ownership of conceptualizing and implementing new data sources, workflows, automations and algorithms to enhance the performance and accuracy of the overall engine
• Assume responsibility for maintaining the codebase, databases, and cloud infrastructure associated with the dealflow engine
Your Profile
• Open-minded, communicative, outgoing team player
• Passion for the intersection of investing (Private Equity / Venture Capital) and technology
• Excellent academic track record with a strong technical background, having obtained or pursuing a technical (Data / Computer Science) related degree at a top-tier university
• Strong programming skills, especially in Python
• Interest in designing APIs and developing web applications
• Some contact with training and finetuning ML models would be a plus
• Fluency in English
