We’re searching for a talented Embedded Linux Developer to join our 2NOS Linux Platform team at 2N. This is a great opportunity to help develop premium products for the access control industry—products used all over the world—and to make an immediate impact in an agile, fast-paced environment.
A Bit About the Role:
- You’ll work on innovative firmware powering 2N products based on the Linux OS, including new hardware bring-up, driver integrations, and API development for our application team.
- You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional group of engineers—some building device interfaces and some focusing on the Linux platform support side—to deliver optimized code under hardware constraints.
- You’ll have everyday challenges designing and implementing efficient solutions, all while solving complex problems that shape the future of our products.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming, along with basic scripting (Shell, Python).
- Experience writing, testing, and debugging code in embedded Linux.
- Ability to create optimized embedded code within hardware constraints.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills – you can easily spot inefficiencies or errors.
- Familiarity with Git, build and debug tools (e.g. Yocto, Meson, GDB).
- Desire to work in an agile environment using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- English communication skills – both written and spoken.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and test efficient, high-quality embedded code built on the Linux OS covered with unit tests and automated functional tests.
- Implement and integrate drivers for new hardware, bringing new solutions to life.
- Develop APIs for internal teams and ensure seamless communication with the application layer.
- Collaborate in an agile environment, participating in sprints, code reviews, and team discussions.
- Use your creativity and problem-solving to deliver improvements and innovations to our products.
