Dateio Platform is Europe’s largest payment-data marketing ecosystem. It connects banks and retailers to drive customer engagement and sales. Integrated into mobile banking apps, it helps brands reach customers based on where they pay with relevant offers and cashback. We connect 18 banks, 600+ merchants, and 10 million customers through our platform delivered directly inside mobile banking apps. Our partners include Erste Bank, UniCredit, and, since early 2026, DKB in Germany. The model is simple and powerful: we use real purchase data to deliver personalized merchant offers to bank customers at exactly the right moment. Banks deepen engagement. Merchants get a high-intent, measurable channel. Customers get relevant rewards in an app they already trust. We've been on the Deloitte Fast50 list of fastest-growing companies two years running. We operate in 7 countries. And we're just getting started in Germany.
Why this role:
Germany is our newest and most important market expansion. We need someone to own it — not manage it from the sidelines, but build it, lead it, and scale it.
You'll be responsible for acquiring Germany's largest retailers and other merchants, developing long-term relationships with them, leading the local team, and making sure Dateio delivers on its commercial ambitions in Germany. You'll report directly to our Chief Commercial Officer, Ondřej Vychodil.
This is a senior commercial role with real autonomy and real accountability.
What will you do:
- Own the full merchant acquisition and retention cycle in Germany — from first contact to signed contract and to cooperation in the longer term.
- Educate and inspire prospective partners: what our payment-data marketing actually delivers, what to expect, and how to get the most out of it
- Identify and develop growth opportunities within existing partnerships
- Build, lead, and coach the German team (currently 1 direct report located in Frankfurt) — set the standard and create accountability
- Collaborate with sales teams across Dateio's other markets (8 country managers)
- Work cross-functionally with data analysts and product to shape proposals and deliver client-ready insights
- Close cooperation with Chief Commercial Officer (Ondřej Vychodil, Prague) and Chief Bank Relationship Officer (Henning Hesse, Frankfurt)
What we're looking for:
Must-have experience
- 2–5 years in sales or consultative roles — specifically in data-based marketing, loyalty, or analytical products.
- Proven track record of closing deals with large retail or FMCG clients
- Business English at presentation and negotiation level
- Comfortable with data: able to take raw Excel outputs and build a compelling, insight-driven client story
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with customer segmentation tools (not just conceptual)
- Background in developing CRM strategies for retail or FMCG clients
