We are looking for a passionate and driven Business Development Specialist who excels in creating and nurturing client relationships to join our team at Carboneg! At Carboneg, we are dedicated to global goals with a local impact, striving to reduce emissions in agriculture and remove existing atmospheric CO₂, a challenge stemming from over two centuries of industrial activity.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       We are a carbon removal startup based on soil carbon sequestration through the implementation of regenerative farming practices on cropland and pasture. Based on rigorous physical measurement through soil sampling, we generate and offer carbon credits on the Voluntary Carbon Market to companies looking to compensate for part of their carbon footprint. Established in 2021, Carboneg has since expanded its impact onto 4 continents with an ambitious yet essential mission: to remove 1 billion tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere by 2030. The principles of regenerative agriculture help to store carbon in the soil by utilizing the power of photosynthesis and the symbiotic, complex relationships of plants and soil microorganisms.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the charge in selling carbon credits.

Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.

Collaborate with the marketing team on a cohesive strategy for client engagement.

Forge strategic partnerships across various distribution channels including direct sales to      corporations and engaging with marketplaces, brokerage firms, or advisors.

Stay ahead of the curve by deepening your knowledge of the carbon market, identifying        emerging opportunities, and keeping tabs on industry developments and legislation.

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.

Negotiate contracts and finalize agreements to close deals.

Adapt our project offerings to clients based on market feedback to ensure we are meeting    clients’ expectations.


Minimum of 3 years proven sales experience, B2B preferred.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel when required for client meetings and industry events.

Fluency in English (must-have) and Czech (preferred)

• Experience from a scaled-up startup, the ESG sector, or the agriculture sector is a big              advantage.

• Understanding of environmental issues and a commitment to sustainability.

• Open-minded and curious person with the ability to admit mistakes and work independently.

• Entrepreneurial and flexible approach while working in a fast-paced start-up within a rapidly    growing industry.
