Who are we looking for?
As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing our financial records, ensuring accuracy, and providing valuable insights to support our business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and a passion for numbers.
What will you be responsible for?
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Perform month-end and year-end closings, including reconciling dedicated balance sheet accounts and generating financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal accounting regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate financial audits.
- Ensure timely tax filings and payments.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
Requirements for the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle) and Google Suite, particularly Google Spreadsheets or Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive approach and critical thinking
- Eagerness to learn new skills and stay updated with industry trends and best practices
